NYX Full Coverage Concealer Review

NYX full Coverage concealer: £6

I had wanted to try this for ages so finally when I was given an online gift voucher I knew it was the first thing I’d buy. I have always suffered with dark circles under my eyes and will give anything a go to try and get that wide-awake look so this sounded pretty prefect. It states that when applied with a brush it covers dark circles, discolouration and even the most obvious blemishes, so when it arrived I couldn’t wait to try it out!

I am not a massive fan on buying anything online, especially make-up because you’re choosing by a picture that could look nothing like the real thing. I decided to opt for the lightest shade ‘Porcelain’ which did look a little dark on the website but thankfully when it arrived was pretty perfect for me. I put on my primer and foundation like normal and then went full steam ahead with the concealer. I used a brush as suggested and began to work the product under my eyes. The formula did seem a little thinner than I expected and actually looked a little streaky. I persisted and after adding a couple of layers it did seem to sit in place a bit better. I wouldn’t normally powder under my eyes but I did feel that it needed something to take away the shine. After an hour or so of wear I was really disappointed to find that it had creased and almost melted away under my eyes and wasn’t providing any coverage at all. I do suffer with oily skin but have never had a problem with oily eyelids or under eyes so couldn’t explain why this happened.

Overall I was really disappointed with the NYX Full Coverage Concealer, it looked good just after application but had no staying power to give you the ‘full coverage’ look it promises.

  1. Oh disappointing! I haven't tried a pot concealer like that, or anything from nyx for that matter! x

  2. I really hoped it would be amazing but it definitely wasn't for me, I'm not going to hold off trying out some more NYX products though!
